The Essex Collection of Art from Latin America is run by a small team at the University of Essex. We are supported by colleagues across the University in developing and delivering our work. We also collaborate with academic colleagues, partner organisations and museum professionals.
Former Directors Professors Dawn Ades and Valerie Fraser continue to play important roles in the governance of the Collection as Founding Director and Chair respectively.
Dr Joanne Harwood is responsible for the day to day management and development of ESCALA including acquisitions and exhibitions, capital projects, and fundraising.
