Andrés Montenegro Rosero has joined ESCALA as the collection’s part-time Curatorial Assistant until November 2014. Among his duties Andrés will curate an exhibition from ESCALA’s holdings in Southend, where the University of Essex has one of its three campuses. The exhibition, which will be held at the new premises of the Beecroft Gallery, in Southend’s former library building, forms part of the University’s 50th anniversary events. Further details of the exhibition will follow.

Andrés is an alumnus of the School of Philosophy and Art History at the University of Essex where he completed his PhD entitled Politics and aesthetics of the uncanny: Francis Alÿs, Santiago Sierra, and Tania Bruguera.

ESCALA looks forward to working with Andrés.
