New Going Digital course announced

Posted: 31 March 2014 by ESCALA

For the second year running, we are organising an all day course on 11 June 2014  for the Going Digital programme of workshops.  This year's course focusses on digitising an art collection and expands upon the success of last year's by drawing on the more practical elements of digitisation. Previous trainers on the course have included colleagues from the National Gallery and System Simulation Limited, who specialise in digitisation and museums.

Going digital is a training programme aimed at doctoral students who want to learn more about digital research and the course are delivered by experts who have hands-on experience in managing digital humanities projects.  The initial project was funded jointly by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and Consortium of Humanities and Arts South East (CHASE) which is comprised of the Courtauld Institute of Art, Goldsmiths (University of London) , Open University, University of East Anglia, University of Kent, University of Sussex, and the University of Essex.

Doctoral students at the University of Essex may register for the workshop via the Proficio page.
