Eulises Niebla is a contemporary Cuban artist who works with industrial materials to create geometric three-dimensional objects, which are then painted in bright colours. These objects have been likened to the forms in children's playgrounds and belong to an established constructivist tradition in Latin America that pushes the boundaries of the art object and encourages the spectator to participate in the work. Verde or Rojo comprises two objects made from metal tubing, one painted green, and the other red. Each time Verde or Rojo is installed differently a new dialogue is created between each object and between the objects and the viewer.
